With record dry conditions and extreme drought conditions throughout the state, it is critical to understand the importance of firescaping and creating a defensible space around your home.
California declared the first week of May "Wildfire Awareness Week". Prepare volunteers with information on fire safe landscaping and defensible safe information and resources. Host a workshop or write an article about the importance of fire prevention.
