Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) is an invasive pest that is now widely established in urban and suburban communities throughout Southern California. According to the ACP/HLB Distribution and Management website, there is currently no cure for the huanglongbing (HLB) disease that kills citrus trees and is spread by an insect, the Asian citrus psyllid. It is estimated that 60% of Californians have at least one citrus tree in their yard and so HLB is going to have a devastating effect on the California residential landscape.
Learn more about the psyllid and the associated Citrus Greening disease and what steps we can teach the public to take to help stop the advance of this potentially industry-crippling pest.
