Drought Training

Wound up garden hose

In March 2022, Gov. Gavin Newsom and the State Water Board agreed to adopt emergency regulation for urban water conservation.

The UC Master Gardener Program and UCC partners developed and compiled relevant drought resources to educate UC Master Gardener volunteers and assist the public to practice water conservation in the home landscape.

A special thank you to Janet Hartin and Ben Faber for providing documents, collecting and reviewing drought resources for the UC Master Gardeners. UC Master Gardeners of Marin County and Trinity County shared wonderful resources on edible gardening during water restrictions.
