Gifts

The UC Master Gardener Program welcomes gifts to support our mission of improving the lives of Californians through gardening research, education, and outreach. Contributions are received and managed by UC ANR. 

Gift Management and Stewardship

  • All gifts must be properly received, acknowledged, reported, and managed to ensure financial transparency and uphold the highest standards of donor stewardship.
  • Gifts are subject to UC ANR policies and procedures to ensure they align with the mission and values of our organization.

UC ANR Gifts Policy

Gifts to the UC Master Gardener Program

  • Refers to both gifts of cash and in-kind
  • Refer all potential donors to UCCE County Director
  • Recognition of gifts may be made by listing name in printed material or banners but no logos, active web links or promotions
  • Specific amount may not be stated, though broad categories or gift ranges may be indicated
  • Fees are not charged by UC ANR for processing gifts. However, there are fees charged by third-party vendors for processing payments. 

Gifts to a UC Master Gardener Volunteer

  • With CD approval, non-cash gifts valued at no more than $75.00 may be given to a volunteer or other key stakeholders
  • UC Master Gardeners may not receive honoraria
