About the Horse Show

This is an Open Horse Show to any Northern California 4-H Horse Project Member in the following counties:Del Norte, Humboldt, Siskiyou, Modoc, Trinity, Shasta, Lassen, Tehama, Glenn, Butte, Colusa, Sutter, Yuba, Plumas, Sierra, Nevada, Placer, El Dorado, Amador, Mendocino, Lake, Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Solano, Sacramento and Yolo.

Included in the program you will find the event rules, full class list, award listing and paper entry forms. You can either complete an entry form or register online above. To complete your entries, submit via mail or deliver a Youth Waiver of Liability Form, Youth Medical Form and entry fees. Your entry will not be complete until all items are received.
Entry fees are $45 per day or $8 per class. After pre-entry deadline, fees are $65 per day or $10 per class. Pre-entry deadline is Monday, May 20, 2019.
There is an additional $5 dollar EMMP drug testing fee that will need to be added to the entry fees.
The intent of the EMMP is to ensure the integrity of public horse shows, competitions and sales through the control of performance and disposition enhancing drugs and permitting limited therapeutic use of drugs at an equine event.

Awards
- Overall High Point buckles and Overall High Point Reserve awards will be awarded for each division. High Point awards will be determined by the highest combined points earned across all disciplines.
- Glenn County Overall High Point awards will be given for the Glenn County rider with the highest combined points earned across all disciplines in each division.
- Individual English High Point, Individual Western High Point and Individual Ranch Horse High Point special awards will be awarded for each division. The classes used to determine the Individual High Point awards per discipline.

The California 4-H Horse Classic offers 4-H members the chance to showcase the culmination of their efforts put forth in their equine projects throughout the year. At the State Championship Horse Show, 4-H riders have this opportunity to compete at a level beyond local, county or regional events. Participants must pre-qualify at qualifying horse shows.
