Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers of San Bernardino/Riverside to learn about processing SALSA! Master Food Preservers will demonstrate making a recipe and the canning process (steam canning).

Who Youth ages 5-18 years old What Join Master Food Preserver volunteers and learn to make your very own jam or jelly to enter in the 2025 El Dorado County Fair--plus take a jar home to enjoy! Choose from apple, grape, peach, or strawberry.

Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers for their monthly general Q&A session. A panel of volunteers specializing in freezing, dehydrating, canning and food safety will be available to answer your questions, share their tips and encourage you to safely preserve food at home.

Youth ages 5-18 are invited to come make three jars of a jam or jelly of their choice (apple, strawberry, peach or grape), then take one home and enter the other two in the 2024 El Dorado County Fair! Bring your own fruit and the Master Food Preservers will provide everything else.

A regular workday at the demo garden on Thursdays, 11am to 1pm. The gate will indeed be open and members of the public are welcome to drop in and enjoy the garden and ask for advice. There will be public demos and plant sales. Share in garden produce, free seed exchange and local gardening advice.
