Second Friday of every month. Click HERE to sign up. Pressure canners with only a dial gauge need to be tested annually to ensure the dial gauge is accurate. If your dial gauge is not accurate, it is not correctly reading pressure which may result in under or over processing and unsafe food.
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to safely make sauces from fresh and dried herbs. Participants will be able to sample sauces and make and take home two half-pint jars. To get you started, participants will also receive an organic herb plant for your garden or container.

Join the UCCE Master Food Preservers for their monthly general Q&A session. A panel of volunteers specializing in freezing, dehydrating, canning and food safety will be available to answer your questions, share their tips and encourage you to safely preserve food at home.

Learn about preserving herbs. We will demonstrate herb salt, herb jelly, dehydrating herbs, fresh herb sauces using basil (pesto) and parsley (chimichurri) with variations. As always this is a great place to ask your questions and learn more about safe ways to preserve food. Registration required.
