Late summer and early fall, after harvest, is a perfect time for pruning your fruit trees. Yes, traditional wisdom says to prune in the winter when the trees are dormant, but it can be REALLY cold then so late summer pruning could be much more comfortable.

Join us as we go beyond the usual orange juice and lemon meringue pie. We'll show you how to use citrus to make jelly, curd and candy. You will also learn ways to dehydrate and preserve these seasonal beauties.

Come along to our weekly Workday & Open Garden Gate - we are now operating winter hours - 11am to 4pm. Open year-round on Thursdays - the public is welcome to explore the garden, ask for advice, take free seeds home to plant, buy plants, share in the harvest and more.

A regular workday at the demo garden on Thursdays, 11am to 1pm. The gate will indeed be open and members of the public are welcome to drop in and enjoy the garden and ask for advice. There will be public demos and plant sales. Share in garden produce, free seed exchange and local gardening advice.
