SJC and Delta Field Crops Meeting

UC Cooperative Extension will host the SJC and Delta Field Crops Meeting on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 8:00am to 12:00pm. The meeting location is the Cabral Agricultural Center in Stockton (2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton, CA 95206). Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

2018 Field Corn Variety Trial Results

Table 1 shows the results of the 2018 UCCE Delta field corn variety trial, located on Tyler Island. Three replicate blocks of fourteen varieties were planted on May 9th by air planter. The fourteen varieties included 12 varieties submitted by seed companies and two submitted by the grower.

2017-18 Small Grains Variety Trial Results

For the last two years, we have trialed wheat and triticale varieties in the Delta, and we thank the folks on Staten Island for hosting the trial. The Delta location is one in a statewide network of UCCE small grains variety trials.
