PODCAST: UCI Sustainability Program Update

This week, we have more about some goings on here at UCI! The In the Garden with UC Master Gardeners Radio Show has been airing shows about the UCI Sustainability Program since 2023. 

This week, we bring you information about an event happening on campus Saturday April 26, 2025. That means nine days to get ready!! On that Saturday, learn all about how to grow tomatoes! It’s a two-hour event starting at 9 am. Master Gardeners of Orange County will be on hand to conduct the workshop on growing tomatoes at 10 am.

The radio show on Thursday will acquaint you with the program in general through a rebroadcast of the 2023 interview with Sustainability Program manager for UCI Student Housing Rachel Harvey and two other students at the time. We’ll break in part way through to bring you up to date on the Sustainability Program and let you know more details about the Tomato event on April 26th. Rachel will be here in-studio along with Jenny Martinez, Manager of the community garden at Verano student housing. Join us for our first live studio interview. It should be a blast!!
