It is vital to prepare our landscapes to be resilient against the destructive forces of wildfires. If you're eager to learn how to create a fire-resistant garden, mark your calendars for Saturday, May 10th, and join us at Open Garden Day in Santa Ana.
Master Gardener Kathleen Dyke will deliver one of our newest presentations, titled Fire Resilient Landscaping. This informative session will provide valuable insights into the best practices for preparing your garden to withstand fire season. Kathleen will cover various techniques and strategies that can make your landscape more resistant to fire, ensuring your home is better protected.
Beyond the presentation, Open Garden Day will feature a booth staffed with knowledgeable Master Gardeners ready to answer all your gardening questions. Whether you need tips on plant care, pest management, or garden design, our experts will be available to provide guidance and support. This event will be open to the public from 10:00 to 4:00 PM and we will have volunteers in our booth during that time.
