Did you know that Monterey County has more that 1,500 species of native plants? Unfortunately, many of these species have declining populations. By collecting and creating more areas for these wildflowers to thrive, we can support pollinators, biodiversity and create resilience against climate change.

The early bloomers have begun to set seed and this process will continue as successive waves of wildflowers complete their life cycles. Now is the time to think about creating a super bloom in your own yard!

Join us for a class held at the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History that will set you on the path to help conserve and amplify our native wildflowers.  We will demonstrate collecting, cleaning and storing seed. Participants will be able to make their own seed packets and take some seed home with them. Class will be held outside and will include a hands-on activity in the museum garden.
