About the Event
The UCCE Master Gardeners-Yolo and the Yolo Library Workshop will hold its regular semi-monthly Gardening Workshops in March on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. It is free and open to the public.
Join experienced UCCE Master Gardener-Yolo Jennifer Gilbert for an informative discussion about the ins and outs of successful composting practices in your own backyard. The discussion will include how to use worms to turn your kitchen scraps into the “black gold” of organic fertilizer, reasons for vermi-composting, how to set up and maintain a worm bin and how to collect and use the nutrient rich end product.
