Ecology and Management of Squash Bees

Katharina Ullmann with the UC ANR Organic Agriculture Institute, will discuss squash bees, their life cycle and how to identify them, and their significance in California. She will include what pollinators visit squash and how to build up squash bee populations using rotation, tillage, and pest management practices, with an emphasis on non-chemical controls for cucumber beetles.
