About the Event

Description: UC Master Gardener Leslie Muennemann wanted her home landscaping to reflect the surrounding riparian and woodland habitat, to attract and to support wildlife and pollinators.  There are many ways to accomplish planting a native garden and choices to make along the way. She shares before and after photos of her family's decision-making process over decades and the excellent and free resources available for choosing, installing and caring for a native garden.

Speaker Biography: Leslie has been a master gardener since 2008.  She is also a master composter and lectures on home composting. Leslie has been gardening her entire adult life. She grew up in Mexico, returning to the U.S. to attend college in 1973, and is one of our bilingual, Spanish speakers. She has made presentations on home and worm composting, and California native gardening.
