About the Event

Orin Martin will teach a series of four seasonal workshops for small orchard care throughout the year, with a focus on apples and pears. Our intent is to engage a cohort of small-scale farmers who can attend all four sessions to learn as a community. Spanish interpretation is available for these free in-person workshops.

The focus for the first session on August 24th will be on summer pruning and training of fruit trees, with a look back at the “fruit year.” Other topics will include fruit ripening, pest diseases, and soil fertility.
