Water and Climate Change Resilience

Hello, I'm Laura Garza, the UCCE Area Water Quality, Quantity, and Climate Change Advisor for Mendocino and Lake Counties. My work focuses on developing water and climate resilience strategies for water supply and water demand challenges. I support Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA) efforts in implementing the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and provide targeted outreach and educational initiatives to water users, tribes, well owners, irrigation districts, public water suppliers, and conveyors.

I hold a doctorate degree in Hydrologic Sciences with a specialization in Water Resources Management and Policy from the University of California, Davis. I'm originally from Monterrey, Mexico, known as the city of the mountains.
