Dr. Lima has been working with emphasis on soil fertility and plant nutrition to increase nutrient use efficiency, food quality, and sustainable production in the agroecosystems. She has experience in research, extension, and teaching. Dr. Lima has published refereed journal articles and has been a collaborator on multi-institution projects in Soil and Food Security. The projects provided her with research skills in the field, greenhouse, laboratories (geochemistry, soil fertility, plant physiology and biochemistry, and food quality), and data analysis (R studio programming language). She collaborated on perennial and annual crops in the extension program with short courses, field demonstrations, seminars, newsletters, and website (www.orchardoutlook.com). For teaching responsibilities, she was responsible for undergraduate and graduate crop production and soil fertility courses.
