Compost giveaway at Las Flores Community Center!

How it works:
The ticket you purchase (at the green button above or below) is in a brochure format. This brochure has a map of the garden locations, as well as descriptions of the gardens and different features each has to offer.

If you purchase your ticket BY May 8, your brochure will be mailed to you. If you purchased your tickets through the button above AFTER May 8, you can pick tickets up starting at 10am on Saturday, May 17 at Las Flores Community Center.

Day-of tickets will be available to purchase starting at 10am on Saturday, May 17 at Las Flores Community Center (4300 Linda Vista Ave). Saturday ticket sales are cash only, thank you.

On May 17, you can visit any of the gardens, in any order, at any time! It’s a choose-your-own-adventure kind of day, and all of the gardens will be open to ticket holders from 10am-4pm. You will be able to tour the gardens, talk with the owners of the gardens, and see some great examples of climate-friendly and water-wise gardens!

What does Climate-Friendly Gardening really mean? To us, it is a philosophy of gardening (both home and commercial) that showcases beautiful, climate-smart, and water-wise features. This could include an number of things included in the list below, and many more!

•drought-tolerant and native plants
•compost and soil health practices
•rain gardens, rain barrels, and/or other rain catchment systems
•recycled material use
•a smart irrigation system
•veggie gardens
•greywater use

Want to be more involved? Become a Garden Tour Volunteer! Right now, we are still seeking two morning and six afternoon Garden Greeters to help make this tour a success! Garden Greeters will be assigned a garden and will be stationed for either the full day (9:45am-4pm) or in shifts (9:45am-1pm, 12:45-4pm). Duties will include welcoming tour participants to the garden, tallying the number of visitors, and checking tickets. With your service, you get to join the Tour free of charge either before or after your shift! And you will get a high five and a pin from Ashley! 😊
To find out which volunteer shifts are still available, contact Ashley@NapaRCD.org
