Each file is a teacher-directed PowerPoint slide deck of lessons on topics organized under an overarching concept. The lessons integrate images with content to support student comprehension. Videos, stories, and/or songs are used to enhance student engagement and address a range of learning modalities. Definitions and/or hyperlinks are provided for key vocabulary to scaffold and deepen understanding. Imbedded video may be used to enhance student engagement while reinforcing the lesson’s concepts. Lessons include check for understanding questions. Suggested application and/or extension activities are provided for each lesson. All lessons are aligned to the California State Board of Education Content Standards and Career Technical Education Standards.
