About the Event
Growing vegetables and flowers is easier than most people think. Whether growing in pots, garden boxes, or in the ground, there are easy and affordable ways to produce more bounty than many would believe is possible.
In this presentation, you will learn how to start a garden from scratch no matter how much space you have. This includes preparing for planting, watering, and starting most common vegetables and flowers from seed. You will leave this talk with all the knowledge you need to get started.
This talk is led by Alex Russell, a UCCE Master Gardener for Solano County. He grows summer and winter crops in his home garden and at his garden plots at Solano College where he practices low-maintenance, high-yield and organic approaches to vegetable and flower gardening.
