Celebrate Father's Day with this in-person, hands-on class.
The crunch of a cucumber “pickle.” Be it a fermented dill or a garlicky half-sour, or sweet and vinegary “cornichon” cucumbers can easily be transformed into a variety of delicious “pickles.” Create a new Father’s Day memory this year.
Attendees will be creating Refrigerator Red Onion Pickles and Quick Kosher Pickles to enjoy at home. Registration will include all the needed ingredients, fermenting tools and use of equipment for making pickles lead by wonderful instruction from UC Master Food Preservers of Sacramento County. Create a new Father’s Day weekend memory this year, registration may include up to 2 guests.
Registration will include the following: ingredients, jars, resource material and use of UC Master Food Preserver equipment.
- 1-2 jars of red onion refrigerator pickles
- 1-2 jars of koshered pickles processed
When: Saturday, June 14. There are two sessions, choose one when you register:
- 10 AM till Noon
- 2 till 4 PM
