Returning Volunteers

Welcome Back!

Re-apply annually by December 31

All 4-H volunteers must be appointed annually. If you are a current 4-H Adult Volunteer, to continue in the next year you need to re-apply and be re-appointed by December 31st to continue with no break in service.

Re-application process

STEP 1
Update your Z-Suite Profile
  1. Update your Z-Suite profile. Log in to Z-Suite to update your profile to enroll for the new year. Please make sure the email address in the system is correct and one you check regularly.

    STEP 2
Returning Volunteer Training

  1. Take the Returning Volunteers Training on Extension Campus Foundation. You should already have an existing account from enrolling as a new volunteer.

    Passcode: SantaBarbara

      https://campus.extension.org/

    STEP 3: Get Approved

Get approved as a 4-H Volunteer. The  4-H Office reviews and approves 4-H volunteer appointments after all the application requirements and mandatory trainings are completed. Approval is not done automatically, and it requires staff to manually review and confirm each enrollment. If you want to fast track your approval reach out to the local Santa Barbara 4-H Staff.

If you have a break in service as a 4-H Volunteer

If you have a break in service as a 4-H Adult Volunteer, which is not re-applying by December 31st annually, you will be considered as having a break in service, and will need to follow the process for New Volunteers
