In-Person Volunteer Activities

Determining when to return to in-person activities is being managed at the local level with direction and support from County Directors. As Covid case rates fluctuate, the ANR Emergency Response Team recommends that all locations monitor their local conditions (new case rate and test positivity percentage) and public health guidance. Those locations where COVID case rates are higher than the state average or test positivity is higher than the state average or increasing should continue to exercise caution holding large meetings or public activities until further notice.

To monitor conditions in your area, look to your County's Public Health website: https://covid19.ca.gov/get-local-information/#County-websites.

Also, CDPH's dashboard provides COVID metrics by county, and in comparison to the state numbers: https://covid19.ca.gov/state-dashboard/#county-statewide

When you do offer in-person activities there may be circumstances where it is appropriate to require vaccination or negative test results to attend UC ANR events or activities. Please see new guidance that may be used for these situations and provides direction on how to view or manage vaccination or negative test result information.

UC ANR continues to provide personal protective equipment for UCCE offices, available for order through your office manager. Please reach out to Missy Gable or to your County Director for clarification or support.
