Brendon Boudinot Awarded Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship

Ant specialist Brendon Boudinot, who received his doctorate in entomology in early June from the University of California, Davis, has been awarded the prestigious Alexander von Humboldt Research Fellowship to do evolutionary and comparative anatomy in Jena, Germany. It is a two-year fellowship.

Donors Dig Deep to Support the Program on Big Dig Day!

BIG congratulations! Together UC ANR raised over $99,000 and the UC Master Gardener Program raised $60,425 in new support across the state with our second annual Big Dig Day campaign. This is an increase of more than four times the amount raised from last year.

Also known as Handkerchief Tree or Dove Tree In the winter of 2008-2009 we planted 3 Davidia involucrata in the Moss Family Temperate Woodland Garden at Humboldt Botanical Garden. The trees were in 5 gallon pots so were quite small.
