4-H Updates

Dear 4-H Families, The year has flown by so fast. The Holidays are upon us. The 4-H office will be closed December 22nd to January 2nd for the Holiday break. I will be returning calls and email upon our return to the office. If you need any help before the break then contact the office by Thursday.

Dear 4-H Families, Camp Loma has invited our 4-H families to attend their Open House & BBQ event on November 5th from noon to 4 pm. See attached flier for details.

Good morning 4-H and Happy Weigh-In Day! Fair is here.... Have you signed up for Clover Deli shifts? Maybe 2 or 3 shifts? Each lub is paid by how many volunteers cover a shift. Feel free to bring a friend or family member to help out. There are still a lot of open shifts.

Dear 4-H Families, San Benito County Fair information and deadlines are attached. Santa Cruz county fair entry deadline is August 24 at 5:59 pm. Still exhibits for market animal exhibitors should be entered in the Youth Organizations - 4-H or FFA departments.

Dear 4-H families, We are excited to offer the 100 years of Fairs shirts and sweatshirts for San Benito Fair. The profits support the 4-H program. Order your shirt and sweatshirt by August 25th. See attached order form. Thank you for your support and see you at fair, Julie Katawicz 4-H program rep.

Dear Swine Members, If you are showing at Monterey, Santa Cruz and/or San Benito county fairs you are required to have Prop 12 paperwork from your swine breeder. The San Benito Fair has forwarded a form for you to complete.

Dear 4-Her's, We are excited to bring back Spring Fair on May 13th hosted by Santa Cruz county 4-H clubs. We are adding a baking contest and poultry show with an egg class, breeding birds, showmanship and Avian Bowl. This is great way to meet other 4-H members and participate in some competitions.

Dear 4-H families, The holidays are fast approaching. We wish everyone a safe and fun Holiday season. We have a rabbit show that member can participate or attend in Hollister coming up in the beginning of December. See attached newsletter for details.

Dear 4-H Families, Everyone that participated in working at the 4-H Clover Deli at fair is invited to a celebration Thank You party on November 11th. We greatly appreciate all the support of the chairman's, Clover Deli crew and 4-H families that make this tradition a success.
