As you practice social distancing during COVID-19, you may find yourself spending more time in the garden. As we move into nice weather, we are sharing a few gardening tips for pest management.
Weed Management in Landscapes
Manage weeds using nonchemical methods such as cultivation, handweeding, or mowing. Remove small weeds before they flower and set seed. Using mulch can also prevent weed seed germination by blocking sunlight. Many types of mulches are available including wood chips, gravel, pebbles and more. Landscape fabrics can also be installed then covered with an organic mulch.
