Molly Shea joined the Nutrition Policy Institute at the University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources on May 8, 2025 as a project policy analyst. She began her work at NPI in October 2024 as a survey worker supporting various projects. Prior to her work with NPI, Molly worked in program management for youth development programs, and in local government on community engagement and health equity projects. She also has experience in advocating for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program—also known as SNAP nationally or CalFresh in California—funding at the federal level. Her research interests include evaluating food and nutrition policy, health education, food waste, and nutrition education programs. She is dedicated to eliminating health disparities and making health more accessible for all. At NPI, she will work on several projects, including evaluating the California Nutrition Incentive Program and California’s Universal School Meals Program.
