UC Davis Distinguished Professor Jay Rosenheim of the Department of Entomology and Nematology is a newly elected Fellow of the 7000-member Entomological Society of America (ESA).

The UC Davis Honey and Pollination Center at the Robert Mondavi Institute is gearing up for two virtual events, one in September and the other in October: "Sips and Bites: The Hidden World of Honey" from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9 on Zoom. Honey Sensory Workshop from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

UC Davis alumnus and ant morphologist Brendon Boudinot, who received his doctorate in entomology in June, is the recipient of the coveted Robert E. Snodgrass Memorial Research Award from the Entomological Society of America (ESA).
