Happy (Bee, Butterfly, Dragonfly) Halloween!

The Bohart Museum of Entomology at the University of California, Davis, won't be the site of a Halloween party this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic precautions. But oh, the memories! "Friends of the Bohart" annually host the fun-filled event.

The Wanted and Unwanted

If you vacationed at Doran Regional Beach, Bodega Bay, on a Wednesday last year (pre-COVID-19 pandemic), chances are you saw scores of dedicated volunteers pulling out the invasive ice plant, Carpobrotus edulis, along 201 Doran Beach Road. It's hard work but it's rewarding.
