Ahmed Kayad is an Ag. Engineer Advisor for applied research and extension with the University of California, Intermountain Research and Extension Center. He focuses on integrating new technologies related to mechanization, automation, and precision agriculture into intermountain cropping systems. His work includes crop yield monitoring, weed detection, and drone and sensor applications in agriculture. He employs satellite, drone, and ground sensors to map fields, aiming to understand spatial and temporal yield variability to help farmers make informed management decisions.
