  • Sustainable giveaways & education on composting, gardening, recycling, worm bins & more with the City's Environmental Sustainability Division.
  • Plant giveaways, gardening tips, and classes with the UC Master Gardeners of Ventura County.
  • Plant native seeds with the California Native Plant Society.
  • Learn about the Monarch butterfly life cycle with the US Fish & Wildlife Service.
  • Make seed balls with the Santa Monica Mountains Fund. 

Activities

  • Creative arts & crafts, origami, chalk art, and a Bee & Butterfly puppet show.
  • Dress up as your favorite pollinator or plant for the Pollinator Parade!
  • Make a mini herbal bouquet with the Olivas Adobe Historical Interpreters.
  • Insect Fun Zone with books, insect rubbing plates, and coloring pages.
  • Conservation, stewardship, and environmental education with Ventura Land Trust and coffee filter butterfly crafts!
  • See a live honeybee observation hive and help paint bee boxes with Ventura Bee Rescue.
  • Dive into water conservation and make pollinator drinking stations with Ventura Water.
  • Learn about beneficial insects and make insect antennas to wear with Rincon-Vitova Insectaries.
  • Tour the Cornucopia Community Garden and see what's in bloom!
  • Join the community bike ride hosted by the City's Active Transportation Team & Bike Ventura:
    • Meet at Thille Park. Departs at 9:15 a.m.
    • Arrives at Barranca Vista Park by 10:00 a.m.
